Job Details: Area Manager

As part of the Operations Department, the Area Manager oversees the management, training, and development of multiple branches providing optical services across Uganda. This role requires frequent travel within the territory to visit and support the supervised branches.

The Area Manager reports to the Operations Manager and collaborates with various company departments. Direct responsibilities include supervising Branch Managers, sales teams, and eye specialists. The Area Manager organizes sales activities in alignment with company policies to enhance branch profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop thorough knowledge of the territory and customer needs.
  • Promote awareness of Lapaire’s products and services, emphasizing vision health.
  • Lead, train, and motivate Branch Managers to exceed sales targets.
  • Implement Lapaire’s sales strategy across branches, ensuring daily oversight.
  • Monitor branch performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing team to enhance brand visibility and branch turnover.
  • Support in the establishment of new branches under the Operations Manager’s guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including cleanliness standards and uniform regulations.
  • Oversee financial management through regular audits and inventory supervision.
  • Address customer, supplier, and delivery issues promptly and professionally.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in business or retail management.
  • Proficiency in accounting and analytical software (e.g., Excel).
  • Strong customer service orientation and business management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
