Job Description

Sales and Relationship Management: 50%

Maintain relationship plans for all customers in the portfolio assigned by the relationship manager so that contact with customers is prioritized.
Drive the utilization of approved facilities for clients.
Ensure that the client relationships in the portfolio have the required ancillary business as per facility terms and agreements.
Deal with and find solutions to customer complaints.
Track utility payments on behalf of the RM for the assigned portfolio.
Act as a principal point of contact with customers on day-to-day relationship issues.
Proactively manage the level of customer service and satisfaction.
Conduct research to identify potential new customers and maintain a database of potential customers.
Develop and maintain contacts with specialists in other branch sectors and other areas of the group.
Monitor leads and coordinate information for the relationship manager’s overall portfolio.

Portfolio Maintenance: 30%

Act as a liaison for risk management information purposes with customers, accountants, solicitors, and other relevant people.
Collate customers produced financial information.
Analyze historic and projected financial information to identify key issues and monitor compliance with covenants and terms prior to discussing with the relationship manager.
Assist with the creation of credit applications.
Prepare facility letters and coordinate the execution of documentation and the drawdown of facilities.
Provide technical input and undertake research for the relationship manager in connection with proposed security, and liaise to arrange the preparation and execution of security documentation.
Attend Relationship Team meetings and contribute fully, including suggestions for ways of improving customer service.
Ensure that updated valuation reports and insurance for client facilities are up-to-date and in place before expiry.

Risk, Governance, and Control: 15%

Work with relationship managers to ensure KYC and other control requirements are met within the portfolio of customers by following up on all required documentation and ensuring that it is filed.
Review the reference list and other risk reports and provide feedback on the action required.
Ensure compliance with corporate banking policies and procedures.
Ensure that there are no overdue CDDs.
Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and risk events (incidents) relevant to the role.

Contribution to the team: 5%

Deputize for the relationship manager where required.
Provide leave cover for RM and fellow ARMs as required.

Education: Higher Diplomas: Business, Commerce, and Management Studies (required)
