Job Summary

Job Title: ERT Lead Coordinator

We’re seeking an experienced ERT Lead Coordinator to lead our Emergency Response Team (ERT) and ensure top-notch safety performance on our projects. Moreover, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing ERT crews, firefighting, and emergency response. Additionally, they will possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the ERT team to respond to emergencies and threats to the project, thereby ensuring the safety of personnel and assets. Furthermore, ensure effective communication and coordination with all stakeholders.
  •  Report directly to the Project HSSE Manager and Project Construction Manager on ERT status and capabilities, providing regular updates and progress reports. In addition, provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  •  Conduct audits of subcontractor HSE teams to ensure compliance with project HSE plans, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Moreover, develop and implement corrective action plans.
  •  Develop and implement project HSE programs and support plans, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Additionally, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive approach.
  • Organize and conduct regular drills and exercises to ensure ERT performance, evaluating effectiveness and identifying opportunities for growth. In addition, provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Provide training and mentorship to ERT personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Moreover, encourage knowledge sharing and best practices.
  •  Collaborate with client ERT, subcontractor ERTs, and security functions, building strong relationships and ensuring seamless coordination. Furthermore, facilitate regular meetings and updates.
  •  Drive behavioral development to achieve world-class safety performance, promoting a safety-first culture and mindset. Additionally, recognize and reward outstanding safety performance.

Basic Qualifications/Experience

  • Have 5-10 years of experience in managing ERT crews in construction or operations projects, demonstrating a track record of success and leadership. Moreover, possess a deep understanding of safety management principles.
  • Hold a national driving license for firefighting trucks, ensuring readiness for emergency response situations. Additionally, possess a valid certification in first aid and firefighting.
  •  Possess recognized emergency rescue and response qualifications, staying up-to-date with industry certifications and training. Furthermore, participate in regular training and professional development.
  • Are a fully trained firefighter with recognized training in emergency response aspects, bringing expertise and knowledge to the role. Moreover, possess a strong understanding of fire safety and prevention.
  • Hold a recognized HSE qualification (preferable), showcasing a commitment to safety excellence. Additionally, possess a certification in occupational health and safety.
  •  Have intermediate-level computer skills, proficient in Microsoft packages and able to leverage technology for enhanced performance. Moreover, possess experience with safety management software.
  • Are proficient in English language skills, communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders. Furthermore, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •  Are self-motivated with a strong understanding of timely task completion, driving results and meeting deadlines. Additionally, possess a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
