Job Description:

As the People and Culture Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping FSD Uganda’s organizational success. Here are your key responsibilities:

  1. Strategy and Planning:
    • Oversee the strategic management of FSDU’s physical and human resources.
    • Develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and ways of working.
    • Ensure resource allocation and talent acquisition align with organizational goals.
  2. HR Talent Management:
    • Lead talent management practices to ensure the organization has competent and motivated staff.
    • Optimize workforce planning and development.
  3. Organizational Development, Culture, and Change Management:
    • Collaborate with the COO and Intervention Leads to create empowering organization structures.
    • Develop people management systems that foster engagement and motivation.
    • Cultivate an organizational climate conducive to staff well-being.
  4. Logistics & Office Management:
    • Provide administrative, logistical, and office-management support to staff and stakeholders.
    • Enhance their ability to deliver on FSDU’s goals and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Familiarity with human resources metrics and systems.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to architect strategy.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
