Sales and Marketing Officer: Shaping Success Through Client Engagement

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Client Liaison and Networking:
    • Engage with clients, customers, and partner organizations.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the institution.
  2. Client Acquisition and Retention:
    • Visit existing clients regularly and identify potential new clients.
    • Recruit and onboard new clients while ensuring excellent retention rates.
  3. Market research and strategy:
    • Conduct market research to inform our plans and strategies.
    • Develop compelling advertisements for our products and services.
  4. Sales campaigns and promotions:
    • Organize and participate in sales campaigns, seminars, and workshops.
    • Explore creative ways to sell products even in challenging markets.
  5. Budget Analysis and Quotas:
    • Analyze competition and create engagement plans.
    • Manage budgets, set annual plans, and ensure sales targets are met.
  6. Market Trends and System Improvements:
    • Stay informed about industry trends and consumer requirements.
    • Suggest system enhancements to achieve marketing goals.
  7. Client Relationship Management:
    • Regularly visit important clients, understand their needs, and anticipate opportunities.
    • Maintain personal and professional networks.
  8. Continuous learning and growth:
    • Attend educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops.
    • Read industry publications to stay current.
  9. Additional Duties:
    • As directed by the manager, contribute to exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing, business administration, or related fields from a reputable university.
    • Two years of sales and marketing experience (preferably in elevators, automation, or construction).
  • Essential Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and analytical abilities.
    • Computer literacy and data analysis skills.
    • Adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Effective time management under pressure.
    • Customer-focused sales and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Self-motivation and a goal-oriented mindset.
    • Team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Fluent in English.
    • Knowledge of Swahili, French, or other languages is an advantage.
