Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Team Lead plays a pivotal role in managing field sales teams. The primary objective is to achieve sales targets and enhance client experience within a defined geographical region. This field-based position requires effective planning and execution. The successful candidate will contribute to a thriving social impact business focused on transforming livelihoods for small-scale farmers.

Duties and responsibilities for Sales Team Lead :

  1. Recruitment and Training:
    • Source, identify, and recruit astute and goal-oriented sales agents capable of effectively selling company products.
    • Train and onboard sales agents, ensuring they are well-prepared for success in meeting company KPIs.
  2. Team Management:
    • Conduct daily and weekly check-ins with sales teams to maximize productivity.
    • Monitor, track, and report lead generation and selling processes.
    • Coordinate after-sales customer service to strengthen the brand.
  3. Sales:
    • Collaborate closely with the sales manager to develop clear leads and sales KPIs for sales agents.
    • Drive sales closures aligned with the company’s product targets.
    • Establish strong relationships with clients, partners, and the community to promote understanding of the company’s products and brand.

Qualifications for Sales Team Lead:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a sales role within the energy sector.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
  • Strong leadership abilities and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and effective planning skills.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and achieve targets.
  • Passion for irrigation and deep industry knowledge.
  • Independent thinker with proactive decision-making capabilities.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to dynamic environments.
  • Ability to handle pressure, maintain composure, and gracefully manage rejection.
  • Organized with expertise in time management at both personal and team levels.
  • A diploma or degree in a business-related field is an added advantage.
